Hi there, Jeep owners. Fan of your 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. We're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Blue Ox base plate. It does install below the bumper, so you will be able to see the cross beam and the, pretty much the entirety of the base plate, But the black powder coat finish on it and the robust look of it, just blends in pretty well with our Jeep. And it kind of just makes it look like an off-roading front end if you're just not familiar with a flat-tow setup. Our base blate is going to allow us to hook up our Jeep behind our motorhome and flat tow it with us. more

Hi there flat towers. Today in your 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Demco's Tabless Base Plate. We're showing it off here on the Oscar Mike Freedom Edition. You can see the bumper is a little bit different than your factory JK bumpers.Your base plate is one of five main components necessary when flat towing your vehicle behind your motor home. Your base plate provides a connection point for your tow bar to attach to, but in addition to that, you're also going to need your tow bar, which is the connection between your base plate and your motor home. You'll need your diode wiring, which takes the lighting signals from your motor home and transfers them here back to our vehicle. more

Now here's what our base plate is going to look like once we have it installed. I do want to mention that the electrical accessories and our breakaway kit are not included, but they are going to be needed for a flat tow setup. Now for a complete flat tow setup, there are a few components you're going to need. A base plate, your tow bar wiring, a braking system, the tow bar and your safety cables.But our base plate is going to provide the attachment point for the tow bar to hook up to so we can safely flat tow our Jeep behind our motor home. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install Roadmaster's Direct-Connect base plate on our 2018 Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited. The base plate is designed to allow us to flat tow our vehicle behind our motorhome. It's going to connect directly to the chassis of the vehicle, to give us that solid mounting point between our vehicle and out motorhome. It's going to be one of five main components in a flat tow setup. The other four are going to be your braking system, your safety chains, your wiring, and your tow bar.A couple things that I really like about this base plate is the design of the safety chain loops. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster MX Base Plate Kit with removable arms, and that's going to be part number 1444-3. Keep in mind, this is only one component of a safe flat tow setup. You'll also need wiring, a tow bar, a braking system, and then specifically for our Jeep we're also going to need a brake light relay. You can pick all of those up here at etrailer.com.So if you're looking to flat tow your Jeep, you're going to need a base plate to have that secure connection between your Jeep and the motor home itself. Now, our Roadmaster Base Plate is going to be pretty low profile. It's going to sit right below the bumper, so we're not really losing any kind of ground clearance, and it is going to have removable arms. more
